We quite often talk about what makes a place feel like home. For some people, it's just wherever your family is. If the people are with you, it's home, no matter where in the world you are. For others, it's eating certain types of food that make you feel at home, and others like just to be able to put up what they want on their walls and decorate the room however they want.
One of the things that makes me feel a lot more at home is when I'm able to spend my weekends hiking and camping. And last weekend, we were able to do just that! Together with a bunch of awesome friends, we went out to the stunning Murray Falls and set up our tent with the sound of the rushing waterfall in the background. I honestly think it was the best night's sleep I've had since coming back to Australia. It was just perfect.
But speaking of home and family, for those of you that have missed the news - we're adding another member to our family next year! In February we're due to welcome a little baby into our home, which we're pretty excited about! So far, everything looks like it's going as planned and well :) I also just found out that I'm able to get what's called Medicare in Australia, which means that I no longer need to pay for most medical appointments - thank you God for that!
So lots of good news on our end as the heat and humidity is building up for wet season here in Townsville. Soon it'll be time for us to test how well our aircon works, haha!
Lots of love,
